Derrick the Deathfin Brings Papercraft Goodness to the PS3

Underwater adventure! Challenging races of doom! Action combat that features murdering Free Wil–ahem, orca whales! Glorious papercraft that we assume caused a lot of mumbled cursing and gory bleeding for the folks at Different Tuna (the studio that made this game)!

Launching October 9th on the PlayStation 3’s PSN is Derrick the Deathfin, and it’s all the dangerous stuff we just listed above. Though, by “dangerous” we mean “totally sweet and nerdy.” The game is currently set to sell for only $7.99; hey, that’s dirt cheap by today’s closed marketplace standards.

If you’re interested in the art style and you’d like to flip through some PlayStation-organized shots of Derrick the Deathfin‘s look, head to this set on Flickr. It’s Sony’s official account, and they’re not too keen on others saving their images and sharing them around the web. The link is the best you get, unfortunately. Enjoy!

Otherwise, we’ll keep an eye on Derrick the Deathfin and let you know if it’s worth checking out as October 9th nears. As an aside, they need to bring this to the PS Vita. The game looks perfect for rocking on the go.
