Dishonored has been given the television treatment with a 30 second TV spot. It’s quick, it’s cool and it features some of the game’s mechanics in fast, CGI form. While it doesn’t sport any actual gameplay footage, the ad is worthy of a glance on your part.
For those who are curious about the tune in the background, well, Bethesda previously took time to elaborate on its context. It’s called “The Drunken Whaler,” and it’s a creepy song that the folks at Arkane Studios and Bethesda felt would help Dishonored stand out during the crowded E3 marketing slate.
They even made it available as a free download. Head to this blog post on Bethesda’s site and snag it for yourself. Seriously, pop on some headphones and give it a listen.
You’ll be able to “feed him to the hungry rats for dinner, early in the morning” when Dishonored launches for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms on October 9th. We’ll be grabbing a copy for review and putting it through its paces in order to deliver our coverage to you.
