HTC has not yet gone on the record saying just when its brand new Windows Phone 8X flagship smartphone will hit the market, but Amazon’s website has taken the honors of doing just that. The online retailer’s UK website is now accepting pre-orders for an unlocked model of the Windows Phone 8X for £531.43 ($860) and says the phone will is “due to be released on November 8, 2012.”
We’re expecting a late October or early release of the Windows Phone 8X in the United States, when we believe that most new Windows Phone 8 devices will begin to hit the market, so Amazon’s date seems pretty legitimate.
If you forget, the Windows Phone 8X offers a 4.3-inch Super LCD Gorilla Glass display, Beats Audio, an amazing 8-megapixel camera with HTC’s custom image engine for snapping super fast photos, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and, of course, Microsoft’s brand new Windows Phone 8 operating system. We absolutely can’t wait for this device to hit the market, and we’re glad to know the wait is nearly over.
