Preview Halo 4 with Nearly 3 Minutes of Campaign Footage

Halo 4 is almost upon us, folks. As such, more and more videos are hitting the net in order to preview nearly each and every facet of Chief’s upcoming romp. This newest clip checks in at around two minutes and 40 seconds, and it shows off a few brief moments form Halo 4‘s campaign.

Before you watch the clip, consider this some very light, spoilerish territory. Nothing major gets revealed, but it definitely contains tiny bits from the story.

Maybe it’s just me, but every bit of this gameplay footage looked both too dark and too purple. I haven’t personally touched the campaign at any preview events, but the stuff I have seen was brighter and featured a more silver or gold color scheme. Here, things looked a bit to toned down and muddy for my taste.

But, hey, the good news is that the gameplay still looks like the traditional mix of run, gun and melee that we’ve become accustomed to. This is the first Halo title (not counting Halo Wars) that hasn’t been developed by the folks at Bungie. 343 Industries, hopefully, was able to capture the Halo standard spirit and sense of adventure.

Based on the clip above, what do you think?

Halo 4 will launch for the Xbox 360 on November 6th of this year.
