Ever since Google announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in June, owning a Galaxy Nexus on Verizon has been an agonizing experience. The GSM Nexus received Google’s latest mobile OS almost immediately, while Sprint’s version got the update earlier this month. And, at long last, Verizon’s iteration has joined the club.
The carrier is obviously late to the party, but the addition is very welcome. Updating to the new OS is a breath of fresh air despite Ice Cream Sandwich being a solid OS in its own right. The 146MB update should be rolling out now, so check your phones now if you want to experience the buttery smooth goodness of Jelly Bean.
