LG has confirmed that its new flagship smartphone, the Optimus G, will be coming to Canada in November, and it’ll be available on Bell, Rogers, and Telus. The announcement comes just a day after LG announced the device would be heading to the United States during the same month.
As you’d expect, the Canadian Optimus G will be identical both inside and out to the U.S. model. That means a 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 display, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,200 mAh battery that promises to be around 60% more efficient than other batteries of the same size. The device also boasts a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, which LG claims is the “world’s best” smartphone camera, and a 1.4-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Optimus G is LG’s first smartphone to marry a quad-core processor with LTE connectivity, so you’ll be able to enjoy a super speedy data connection on the 4G networks offered by those carriers mentioned above. Unfortunately, you will have to wait for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ad the Optimus G ships with Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed. The update is expected during the second quarter of 2013.
Will you be picking up the Optimus G in Canada?
