Sprint has the smallest 4G LTE network, but the point is that it has one. Verizon currently has the largest and AT&T is announcing new markets almost every day. Speaking during a Goldman Sachs conference recently, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse said that, despite the budding 4G LTE network, Sprint has sold more than 1 million LTE-capable devices to date. We expect that figure to increase drastically, too, now that it’s going to offer the iPhone 5, which is capable of surfing on the faster data network.
According to FierceWireless, Hesse explained that the best selling 4G LTE devices so far have been the EVO 4G and the Samsung Galaxy S III. The carrier is still on track to cover its entire 3G footprint with LTE by the end of next year.
