by Roy Choi | September 19, 2012September 19, 2012 4:57 pm PDT

We’re receiving a number of reports of Wi-Fi issues with iOS users. Most users are attributing it to iOS6, but it appear the problem doesn’t seem to be confined to just iOS 6.

Some users have claimed to have found a workaround by setting the HTTP Proxy to Auto under Wi-Fi Settings.

We’ll get more news out to you as soon as we find out more. Stay tuned…

Update:

It appears the issue people were experiencing was at a point where the OS loads a dummy page through Apple.com to detect if users are connected paywall network.  This check was apparently displaying 404 errors.

Apple has resolved the issue and now all seems to be well again in iOS world.
