iOS 6 - iPad and iPhone - Press - 001

Starting Wednesday, you can download the latest version of iOS for your compatible iPod, iPhone or iPad.  With iOS 6, you gain Passbook, Facebook integration, shared photo streams, cellular Facetime, Maps and much more.  However, there are some trade-offs with the iOS 6, including the loss of Google Maps and YouTube integration, both mainstays of previous versions of iOS.

While a new YouTube app is available in the Apple App Store, some are saying it doesn’t live up to what users need.  Additionally, Apple has opted to in-house iOS mapping for the near future, but Google has a new Google Maps app that is expected to release just in time for iOS 6. Make sure to download it if iOS Maps isn’t your cup of tea.
