Well, that didn’t take long. Following Motorola’s unveiling of the new Intel-powered RAZR i this morning, the handset has already been given a price and release date from British retailer Clove.co.uk. It will be available on October 1, priced at £342 (approx. $556) SIM-free, and you can already pre-order it.
If you do decide to get your order in early, you’ll also receive a free copy of Norton Mobile Security, which will help keep the device free from any malware you may pick up from malicious apps — though this can be avoided without the help of security tools if you’re just careful with what you install.
The RAZR i boasts a 2GHz Intel Atom processor, and a 4.3-inch “edge-to-edge” Super AMOLED Advance display, which Motorola promises is 40% larger than that of the iPhone 4S, and 15% larger than that of the iPhone 5. It also offers an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 5GB of internal storage, and a 2,000 mAh battery.
