Apple’s iOS 6 is less than a week away from release, but there is a way you can upgrade now. With the golden master in developer hands, the OS has found its way onto a few download sites for public consumption. Lifehacker has a full rundown of precautions and steps to getting Apple’s latest OS upgrade running on your device — links are provided as well. As always, you’ll want to heed caution when performing an early upgrade. Lifehacker said it encountered no problems when upgrading on an iPad, iPod touch or iPhone, so it’s unlikely you’ll encounter any issues (though the possibility is always there). If you don’t feel like waiting until Sept. 19 when iOS 6 officially hits, download the OS for your respective device and let us know how it goes.
