In classic Team Ninja form, the trailer for Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge starts off with a high class shot of Ayane getting a massage before the trailer explodes suddenly into extreme gore.
In the trailer uploaded to Nintendo’s YouTube channel today, Team Ninja is showing off playable Ayane stages and the return of what everyone knows is the most important element of Ninja Gaiden, blood-spraying dismemberment. Ayane looks fast and mean, and limbs are flying all over the place. Siliconera reports that Ayane will have her own stages and that the game will feature online co-op as well as challenge stages.
Ninja Gaiden 3 was not terribly well-received when it hit consoles earlier this spring, and it would take a lot of overhauling to bring fans a game they like, but these changes–especially the dismemberment–point in the right direction.
