Those hoping to pick up an iPhone 5 as early as possible will be in for an all-nighter. Apple confirmed to Wired on Thursday that pre-orders will go up sixty seconds after midnight, at 12:01 a.m. Pacific. Better start preparing now, because the Internet will likely clog up all the iPhone 5 channels as soon as it’s made available. Verizon is actually trying to one-up Apple’s confirmation by allowing customers to preorder once the clock strikes midnight — Sprint will have to wait an entire minute longer. AT&T hasn’t confirmed when it’ll start taking preorders yet, but we’d expect the carrier to fall in line with the 12:01 time of destiny.
