I feel sorry for you Android folk today. It’s iPhone 5 day, which means almost every tech outlet there is is obsessing over Apple’s upcoming keynote. I know because I’ve been doing the same thing myself for most of the day. But I took a break from that to deliver you some good Android news.
Those of you with a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 or Galaxy S Advance won’t be receiving the Android 4.0 upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich, but it’s noting to be too downhearted about, because you’re going to be jumped straight up to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean instead. Samsung Bulgaria confirmed the news on its official Facebook page earlier today.
Of course, there’s always a slight possibility that the person manning the Facebook page got their facts a little mixed up. So it’s probably best to wait for Samsung’s official announcement before you take this as confirmed. But it’s on the company’s official page, and it hasn’t been pulled, so it looks promising.
