iPhone 5 Boasts Better Battery Life

by Adriana Lee | September 12, 2012

One of the biggest gripes in mobile today is battery life. After all, what good is a beefy handset if you’re constantly running out of juice?

To appease the power demand, Apple announced today that its new iPhone — complete with new energy-efficient A6 chip — will offer better battery than its predecessor. From the press event: “What [our team] has done is not only match but exceed the battery life of the iPhone 4S.”

So how much does that amount to? 8 hours of 3G or LTE talk time or browsing. 10 hours browsing on Wi-Fi.

Does this imply that a new battery’s inside? At this minute, there has been no announcement of it yet. But we’ll update this post if that changes.

For more details, stay tuned to the Buffalo!
