iPhone 5’s Wideband Audio to Introduce Better Call Clarity

Among some of the iPhone 5’s enhancements, the company said it will support Wideband audio, which is more widely referred to as HD voice.

Apple said it has partnered with 20 carriers — it didn’t name names — to bring the higher-fidelity call quality to wireless subscribers around the world when the handset is released. It’s a small change to the inner working of the device, but it’s definitely something folks will notice when chatting in noisier locations.
