It seems Apple’s not-so-secret Panorama mode will make an official appearance in the iPhone 5, and possibly even the company’s rumored update to the iPod touch. First discovered as a hidden feature in iOS 5 (photo above), the mode would allow users to capture multiple images and stitch them together to make one beautiful panoramic shot.
There are plenty of apps that offer panoramic capabilities residing in the app store, but it seems Apple finally wants to bake an offering of its own. What better way to do it than on a device with a stretched out 16:9 screen? iOS developer Will Strafach seems to thinks the feature could get announced during Wednesday’s iPhone 5 event, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
