The Nokia Lumia 610, Lumia 710,Lumia 800 and 900 Windows Phone devices won’t receive Windows Phone 8, but at least they aren’t being left completely out in the cold. Nokia recently detailed several new features that will be launched for the aforementioned devices in the near future. The Finnish phone maker said that it will deliver its Smart Group Shot and Cinemagraph applications to the phones first, which should improve the photo sharing experience, and will then roll-out the new Windows Phone 8-style Start screen, a ringtone maker, a new application for sharing contacts via Bluetooth and a Bluetooth file transfer app.
“The rollout of these updates for the Lumia 610, Lumia 710, Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 smartphones will be phased, and we will share more details closer to the start of delivery,” Nokia said on its website Tuesday. The company also reminded its users that Draw Something and Words With Friends will also soon launch for Windows Phone devices.
