Bummer. In mid-August we reported that Apple had plans to begin accepting pre-orders on the day it announces the iPhone 5. That day, of course, is tomorrow, Sept. 12. Apple doesn’t always take pre-orders on the same day it introduces a new device. In fact, it began accepting orders for the iPhone 4S three days after it introduced the device on October 4th last year. It appears that could be the case all over again, according to a new report from MacRumors.
Apple will reportedly begin to accept orders for the iPhone 5 on Friday. MacRumors said that Apple is preparing to increase its sales support team at 6:00 a.m. Eastern on Friday, Sept. 14. That means it’s possible that orders could begin at that time, and not around midnight – as was the case with the iPhone 4S. Can you wait three more days?
