Amazon Drops Price of Galaxy S III to $99 on Two-Year Contract

samsung-galaxy-s-iii-price-drop-amazonThe best Android smartphone on the market — which coincidentally is made by Samsung — has been knocked down to $99 with two-year contract through Amazon. I only mention Samsung because of tomorrow’s iPhone 5 event, and because of the history between the two companies; if there’s any device that can make the Galaxy S III’s glossy newness fade, it’s the iPhone.

You see why the price has been knocked down? Amazon currently shows In Stock for the 16GB iteration on the big three carriers — you can even cop the red one on AT&T. Consumers and fervent technophiles will no doubt be on the fence of which device to get this holiday season, and Amazon is making it that much harder to argue against the S III. $99 is killer for such an amazing device.
