How’s traction going? For your Trials Evolution character, I mean; he’s going to have a whole lot to do very soon.

Trials developer RedLynx has announced DLC coming this Fall for Trials Evolution: Origin of Pain. Yeah, that seems appropriate for a Trials game. In addition to information about this upcoming DLC, a PC release for Trials Evolution was announced. The release, called Trials Evolution: Gold Edition, brings not only Trials Evolution itself to PC, but Trials HDas well, marking a long-awaited return to the series’ home platform.

The download pack takes place on its own 4km² tropical island with 36 single-player tracks. According to Eurogamer’s preview, the tracks are challenging from the start, and emphasize playing with the physics of the various objects to complete levels.

Also coming with the pack is a new bike, the Gecko 520. Eurogamer describes the bike as a “marvelous bastard” with “surprisingly powerful acceleration.”

Lastly are the new track editor additions: 100 new objects and 30 new effects, including a cargo plane and a cannon, because you need more ways to hurt those poor little unkillable ragdoll men.

A firm date hasn’t been announced, but the pack should be hitting XBLA this fall.
