Apple will unveil the iPhone 5 on Sept. 12, that much we already know. Now, apparently, the company is also preparing to launch refreshed versions of its iPod family. Here’s the problem, though: nobody knows exactly which products will be refreshed, or with what.
Right now, we’re going off of a report by 9to5Mac, which has a solid track record. The site currently says that Apple will update “at least two” iPod lines. Could it be an iPod nano with a camera? Possible. Or maybe a new iPod touch with a revamped processor or fresh color schemes. Hey, we would totally be down for buying a cherry red iPod touch. It’s also still unclear when Apple will launch the new products, if it does indeed announce them, although it typically delivers new iPods to the market rather quickly after it announces them.
In other words, you may want to wait a week or two if you’re waiting for a new iPod.
