Motorola kind of hit its apex with the DROID RAZR MAXX. Thin phone, wonderful battery and pretty sound experience. But otherwise, what’s there to say about Motorola devices that makes you want to ditch a Galaxy S III? How about a bezel-less screen? Complete uninterrupted, beautiful, edge-to-edge display.
According to Bloomberg, Motorola’s big differentiating claim in the future will be the barely-there bezel, giving it some leeway to compete against some of the more popular devices already on the market.
“The model also would be one of the first full-screen phones in the U.S., meaning it uses the entire front of the device as a display,” Bloomberg said. “The approach maximizes the screen viewing space by eliminating the black frames or bezels around the display.”
The disappearing bezel look is certainly more sleek, and further pushes the smartphone market into “Dream Gadget” territory. Motorola has an event scheduled for Sept. 5, which sounds like a pretty good day for the company to unleash its no-bezel phone.
