Samsung wants revenge against Apple. According to the Korea Times, the company is reportedly preparing to punch Apple in its most sensitive of areas: the iPhone 5. If the device does wind up landing with LTE, Samsung will reportedly strike hard by filing an injunction against the handset by citing its robust LTE patent portfolio.
While the Cupertino company already offers LTE in the new iPad, Samsung is reportedly waiting for the right moment — the iPhone 5 with LTE — to avenge last week’s mostly one-sided loss. Apple and Google CEOs are said to be in talks to work out possible patent deals on mobile devices, so it’ll be interesting to see how that pans out, and also how that affects Samsung’s plan to go on the offensive.
