If you’ve been put off from trying Google TV due to the price, Chinese manufacturer Hisense is coming to your rescue.

Google has teamed up Hisense for a new Google TV device that is planned to retail for under $100. Just how far under is anyone’s guess, but the Vizio Co-Star is already selling at $99, so here’s hoping its a bit further under the century mark than that. “Hisense adds even more innovation to the growing list of Google TV-powered devices available around the world.” Mickey Kim, Google TV partner manager, said in an email statement to PC World. “We’re working closely with partners like Hisense to bring services from Google and multiple other providers to your TV with an experience tailored for the living room.”

The device will run the second generation of the software and should hit shelves some time later this year, but it will enjoy a debut at IFA this week in Germany. We’ll be on the ground at the show and will try to grab any updates that we can.
