Samsung Galaxy Stellar info sheet - 640

The Samsung Galaxy Stellar name has once again shown up, but the mystery has definitely gotten a bit deeper as to what exactly it is.

We first saw the Samsung Galaxy Stellar show up on a Verizon rebate form towards the end of last month. That has been the only information on the presumably lower-end phone thus far, but now DroidLife has come up with a new image about the $99.99 device that has some oddities listed.

While we aren’t exactly sure what a “Starter mode” is, but the last line is what is really puzzling. “Shop, stay entertained with Amazon Apps” isn’t something we’ve ever seen listed for a device before. Could this mean that the Google Play Store won’t be on the device? Is this in addition to the usual line of apps? It definitely makes one scratch their head a bit at what this might mean. Could this have something to do with the Amazon press event scheduled for Sept. 6?

We’ll just have to wait and see when Samsung or Verizon see fit to officially announce the Galaxy Stellar.
