Apple Rolls Out First Mountain Lion Update; No Mention of Battery Fix

by Brandon Russell | August 23, 2012August 23, 2012 10:00 am PDT

os-x-mountain-lion-updateApple on Thursday rolled out its first major update to OS X Mountain Lion. The change log is full of stability fixes and general improvements, including resolved issues for both Migration Assistant and iMessages. What’s not mentioned, however, is a fix for Mountain Lion’s apparent battery chugging, though a recent rumor suggests Apple focused on solving that issue in the update. Once we spend more time using the update, hopefully we’ll get a feel for whether or not the battery issue was fixed. In the meantime, we’ll watch the Apple forums like vultures to see if any other issues pop up.
