Boost and Samsung just announced the Galaxy S II 4G, a new smartphone that will launch on Sept. 6 for $369.99 without a contract. The Galaxy S II 4G (no, not Galaxy S III), is capable of running on both 3G and 4G WiMAX networks and is equipped with a 4.52-inch SUPER AMOLED Plus display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p video, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 16GB of internal storage and the ability to serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
We dig the phone, but it’s a bit expensive for $369.99, even without a contract. Don’t let the sticker shock get to you, though. The device is fast, feels pretty slick and doesn’t require a contract.
