Finding something good on NeoGAF can be a bit like wading through the Swamps of Sadness from The Neverending Story. You’re wading waist high for what seems like forever, but then you find that turtle, alternately sneezing and letting escape some very interesting information.
Today a NeoGAF user has posted what appears to be a marketing survey from BioWare regarding Dragon Age 3. The survey details the premise of the game and gives information on some of the characters. Other sites have been asked to remove the specifics, so we won’t post those here–though that does seem to confirm the legitimacy of the information.
According to the survey, you take on the role of an Inquisitor, gathering forces, sending out spies and even using political intrigue. Options aside from direct combat are definitely a change from past games. The survey hints at as many as ten characters and asks questions gauging interest in things like online-co-op, larger combat parties, and day-night cycles.
The images included in the forum look like what we would expect of Dragon Age, but they’re likely to change between now and whenever they appear in any official context.
The most exciting part of this, as a Dragon Age fan, is the wider worldview the game will clearly have, a refreshing change from Dragon Age 2, the city-based story of which felt more like an expansion pack than a proper sequel.
