When looks are of no consequence, and size is your main handset criteria, then the LG Optimus Vu is probably on your radar. First made official back in February, the device is aligned to go up against Samsung’s Galaxy Note (and Note II). Judging by its appearance, it’s easy to guess that was Vu’s purpose all along. Still, that’s some pretty hefty competition, both figuratively and literally. LG is allegedly preparing to unleash the gonzo device during Q3 of this year and, though it’s unclear on what carrier, signs point to Verizon. Consumers who opt for the Optimus Vu will get a circus 4:3 ratio screen (1024 x 768 IPS), a1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, an 8-megapixel camera, LTE and a massive 5-inch screen.
