LG Optimus 4X HD Coming to Phones4U Stores in U.K. Later This Month; Pre-Order Today

LG Optimus 4X HD front

British retailer Phones4U has announced that it will be launching the LG Optimus 4X HD later this month, and you can pre-order the handset starting today. The phone will be available on a “wide range” of tariffs from the U.K.’s leading carriers — including Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, and O2 — and will be free on 24-month contracts from £26 (approx. $41) per month.

The Optimus 4X HD is LG’s flagship Android handset, and so it intends to do battle with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S III and the HTC One X. It packs a 4.7-inch True HD-IPS display, a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and an LED flash.

The handset will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onboard, which will be accompanied by LG’s Optimus UI 3.0.

In a bid to get you to pre-order the handset, Phones4U is throwing in a pair of free tickets to see Cheryl Cole at the LG Arena in Birmingham. The tickets are worth £100, according to the retailer, so if you’re not into Cheryl, selling those on eBay should cover your phone bill for at least the first couple of months.

Will you be pre-ordering the LG Optimus 4X HD?
