Windows Phone 8 is due out this fall and, along with its release, we’re expecting a bevy of brand new Windows Phone 8 launch devices. The Samsung Odyssey could be one of the first launch devices and, not only that, but one of T-Mobile’s first 4G LTE smartphones. This isn’t the only time we’ve heard of the Odyssey, of course. We saw mention of the device, along with the Samsung Marco, in late July, thanks to court documents provided in the Apple v. Samsung trial.
TmoNews first noticed a user agent string pointing to a device running Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 — the web browser used in Windows Phone 8 — listing for 4G LTE support, a 1080 x 720-pixel display and Bluetooth 2.1. The original court documents also revealed that the Odyssey will offer a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, NFC support and an 8-megapixel camera.
