Remember the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q, an Android powered slider with a physical QWERTY keyboard that was first leaked by the FCC back in July? The handset’s official press image is now making its way around the web — courtesy of Tmo News — and an official announcement from Samsung is expected this Wednesday, August 15.
Why are we expecting an announcement on August 15? Take a close look at the handset’s display in the image above and you’ll notice that’s the date displayed on the clock widget. Android handset vendors traditionally put the handset’s launch date on its press shots, which means the Galaxy S Blaze Q could be right around the corner.
In addition to its slide-out QWERTY keyboard, this handset is expected to pack a 1.5GHz dual-core processor Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Rumors have also suggested it’ll be capable of shooting 1080p video, and that it will sport a 720p display.
However, the latter seems a little unlikely, given the size of the bezel surrounding the display in the shot above. As noted by Engadget, Samsung’s smallest HD Super AMOLED display is 4.65 inches.
