AT&T announced on Monday that its new shared data plans will be available starting August 23rd. The new plans are not mandatory and customers have the option to retain their existing service plans. AT&T announced its shared plans back in July and when we compared them to Verizon’s shared offerings, we found that prices were sometimes higher or lower depending on the customer’s specific needs. AT&T’s new optional shared plans includes mobile hotspot access, which allows customers to user their phone as a Wi-Fi access point for other devices.
Whether you’re a member of a family plan with heavy data users or a business traveler always on the go looking for fast Internet access, you can review these new shared data plans with AT&T’s Mobile Share Planner tool to determine what plan best suits your needs.
