TELUS, Bell and Rogers to Offer LTE-Capable BlackBerry PlayBook for $549.99 Outright

RIM recently announced that its 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook would be coming to Canadian carriers Rogers, Bell and TELUS on August 9th. However, absent from RIM’s announcement were pricing details for its new tablet.

MobileSyrup reports that Rogers, Bell and TELUS will offer the 4G LTE PlayBook without contract for $549.99. Rogers is said to be offering the 4G LTE PlayBook for $499.99 on a one-year commitment, $449.99 on a two-year commitment and $349.99 on a three-year commitment.

This new version of the BlackBerry PlayBook will feature a 7-inch display, front-facing and rear-facing HD cameras, HDMI-out, 32GB of internal storage and BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.

So far the 4G PlayBook is only set to launch in Canada, with roll-outs planned for the U.S., Europe, Latin America, South Africa and the Caribbean in the coming months.
