We have already had the pleasure of looking at a few press shots of Sony’s unannounced Xperia SL Android smartphone, but now we have images of the actual device thanks to the folks over at GSMArena.
The smartphone, which we imagine will be unveiled during IFA at the end of August, reportedly sports a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon processor overclocked to 1.7GHz, a 12-megapixel camera, a 4.3-inch LCD display with an HD resolution, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video chat and a thin illuminated notification bar below the homescreen.
We’re guessing this is Sony’s answer to the Galaxy S III, and it certainly looks like a beautiful device. Unfortunately, however, it’s set to ship with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich installed, instead of the newest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Hey, at least it isn’t Gingerbread.
