Nexus 7 User? You Need This Gmail Update

google_gmai_portrait

Google released a fresh Gmail update recently that improves the overall experience on tablets. Specifically, the update reportedly address issues with 7-inch tabs, which means you should see better performance on the brand new Nexus 7 tablet, as well as Samsung’s gamut of 7-inch (and slightly larger) devices.

As TechCrunch notes, the update should fix an issue that causes issues while using the app in landscape mode — one that we’ve noticed ourselves. Unfortunately, it looks like pinch-to-zoom support isn’t included in this update.

We’re not too upset, at least Google is working to improve the Nexus 7 experience (and the experience for other 7-inch tablets). But hey, Google, why not fix landscape mode as well? We’re tired of looking at the display in portrait-mode only. Is it too much to ask? Sheesh.
