Earlier today a report surfaced that suggested AT&T has been telling its employees to push other handsets, such as Android devices or Windows Phone-powered smartphones, instead of the iPhone.
The report was published by BGR, which cited three independent sources who informed the site that regional sales managers were telling in-store managers to “pump the brakes” on iPhone sales. What was unclear, however, is if this statement applied to corporate AT&T stores or independent authorized resellers. Apparently, however, this isn’t the case at all.
“The idea that we would steer any customer away from a particular device couldn’t be more farfetched,” an AT&T spokesperson told TechnoBuffalo. “Our reps do what it takes to align customer needs with the best device for them. iPhone remains one of our most popular devices, which doesn’t happen by steering people away from it.
