Less than two weeks ago ZTE announced the Grand X, a stock Android powered smartphone that reminded us of the Nexus S. Originally set to hit retail in early August, U.K. retailer Phones4U appears to be selling the handset a tad bit early. Pricing options for the Grand X range from £190 ($299) for pay-as-you-go customers, or free to customers who commit to paying at least £20.50 ($32) per month.
As for what’s under the hood, the Grand X features the following specifications:
- 4.3-inch qHD display 540 x 960 resolution
- 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor
- 512MB of RAM
- 5-megapixel camera
- Stock Android 4.0
While some may contest that the Grand X is a postpaid mid-level device, in the land of prepaid, it’s a diamond in the rough.
