Final Fantasy Now Available From Google Play for $6.99

Final Fantasy Android

The original Final Fantasy is now available in the Google Play store for just $6.99, which is about half the price of the Final Fantasy III title that has been available for quite some time now. The game promises the original FF story that fans enjoyed when it was first launched in Japan back in 1987 and puts players in control of the “Warriors of Light” as they set to restore the world’s crystals.

Early reviews suggest that there are borders along the edges of the screen, which means the game isn’t fully scaled on at least some handsets. That’s kind of a bummer, but it’s the price you pay to play a classic.

The application is 46.39MB, but requires 240MB of storage space, and is available now for devices running Android 2.1 and up. I know what I’ll be doing with my Nexus 7 on the train later today.
