Google’s Official Nexus 7 Case Fetches $100 on eBay

Nexus 7 case

The Google Play Store currently lists a $19.99 protective cover for the Nexus 7 but, unfortunately, you can’t buy one just yet. That means everyone who owns a Nexus 7 has to look elsewhere for protection. Surprisingly, one owner was so desperate that he or she coughed up $100 — or half the price of the 8GB model — for the official cover from eBay. According to GottaBeMobile, which spotted the sale, another case has four days left in its auction and is already passing the $54 mark. Oof.

Well, thankfully you have us here at TechnoBuffalo to point you in the right direction. Amazon currently has a few cases available starting at around $14.99. Plus, they appear to offer several settings so that you can prop the Nexus 7 up in landscape or portrait mode, an option that isn’t available with the official case. Trust us, you probably bought the Nexus 7 for its access to Google Play content, so why not spend that hard earned $100 on new media?
