Confirmed: HTC One X+ Coming to T-Mobile with Tegra 3, 42Mbps HSPA+

Originally thought to be the next device in T-Mobile USA’s “G series,” a device listed on a purported internal screenshot, obtained by TmoNews, as the HTC Era 42 is now being billed the HTC One X+. We’ve confirmed with several sources that the device will indeed launch as the HTC One X+ with a 1.7GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip on board and support for T-Mobile’s 42Mbps HSPA+ network. Taylor Wimberly, from AndroidandMe, also separately confirmed this was the case.

Not much else is known about this alleged device’s hardware, but the going word is that it’s being set for a September release and we imagine the screen size, Beats Audio, Sense 4.0 and more will all remain intact.

Hopefully all will be revealed within the next two months — perhaps we’ll hear more at IFA at the end of August. We’ll be reporting live from Berlin, so stay tuned for more information.
