Nexus Q Now on Sale at Google Play Store, Shipping in 3 to 5 Business Days

Google Nexus Q Ports

Google’s Nexus 7 may be selling like snow cones on a 100 degree day, but absent from the search giant’s I/O showing has been an official release for its media streaming Nexus Q. However, an update to the Play Store reveals that the Nexus Q is now in stock and listed as delivered in 3 – 5 business days.

Not exactly the next wave of Google TV, the Nexus Q is a horse of a completely different color. Short on standalone action, the orb-like device streams content from Google’s cloud, while working in tandem with your Android smartphone or tablet. The primary focus of the Nexus Q is to provide a simple download-free cloud-based media experience.

Made in the USA, the Nexus Q carries a price tag of $299, which may sound a bit on the high side, as there are countless set-top boxes on the market with similar offerings for a lesser price, including several Google TV units.

However, if you’re a fan of all things Google and you’ve been looking to expand your roster of Android powered electronics, then the Nexus Q is now ready for shipping.
