What would you get if RIM’s famous hardware collided with the now defunct Palm Pre? A QWERTY slider with BlackBerry 10 guts. Do you wish this phone existed? You might be in the minority.
The wait for BlackBerry 10 has been agonizing. We thought we were finally going to see it in the flesh and, when that didn’t happen, Thorsten Heins revealed the OS was being delayed until early next year. That’s ok, we can wait another six months. As long as it’s worth the wait, as Heins has promised.
Done up by Jon Anastasiadis, the above shot is nothing more than a dream concept and shows a compromise between full touch and all QWERTY. The concept reveals what an angular keyboard design, which RIM was recently granted a patent for, would look like in practice. It seems a bit cramped for my taste, but others might feel it’s perfect. Personally, I prefer the look of RIM’s L and N series.
