The game is free and doesn’t require a special controller (besides your hands… or feet?), but you’ll need to own one of Samsung’s 2012 LED 7500 models (or newer) or one of the company’s Plasma 8000 model televisions. Samsung originally announced that Rovio’s hit game would make a debut on its TVs when it first unveiled the 75-inch Samsung ES9000 3D television last week, although we haven’t had a chance to give it a try.
We’re fascinated by being able to control the game via gesture controls, but we’re honestly pretty sick of Angry Birds. We’d love to see Samsung expand its app offering by including additional gesture-based games in the future, and we wouldn’t be surprised if that happens soon. You’re probably better off grabbing a Microsoft Kinect and an Xbox 360 for a much richer gesture-based gaming experience in the meantime.
