Apple reported its fiscal third quarter earnings on Tuesday and, on the company’s earnings call, Apple said that it has sold a total of 410 million iOS devices to date, including the 45 million total devices sold in Q3.

We’re not surprised at the incredible iOS device sales figures. The iPhone is now available on 250 carriers in more than 100 countries around the globe, which helped Apple sell more than 26 million units during the quarter. Likewise, the iPad is now available in 97 countries and Apple sold 17 million units during the quarter.

As a result of the incredible iOS device distribution, Apple saw its iTunes revenue reach more than $1.8 billion during the quarter. There are now more than 225,000 iPad applications available in the iTunes App Store and 650,000 iOS apps in total. Apple also said it has paid out $5.5 billion to developers so far.
