What’s Up Google? Nexus 7 Screen Issues Continue to Surface (Video)

We have already reported on the Nexus 7’s severe ghosting issues and chassis deformations and, now, another reader has sent in images of a completely unusable brand new Nexus 7 tablet. The reader noticed that his Nexus 7 tablet had white lines running across the screen, which stuck around even after numerous resets. It appears the issue is hardware based, possibly from a defective display, and the lines reportedly “move as you touch, play with and watch the device reboot,” the reader explained.

“The issues are permanent,” he said. “I spoke with Google yesterday and they told me they would have to replace [the unit]… probably.” It appears the hardware issues with the Nexus 7 are more widespread than we initially thought, although we haven’t experienced any of the aforementioned defects on two of our own units.

Be sure to let us know if you notice something awry with your unit.
