Nokia Drive 3.0 Rolling Out to U.S. Lumia Devices

Nokia is rolling out an update to its Nokia Drive navigation application. Set to be a core feature of Windows Phone 8, Nokia Drive 3.0 is exclusively coming to Nokia Lumia devices in the U.S.

Nokia Drive 3.0 introduces “My Commute,” a feature that studies your driving habits and provides you with advanced traffic warnings for preferred routes, such as work or school. In addition to studying your driving habits, Nokia Drive 3.0 includes an automatic day and night mode that adjusts display setting for optimum visibility during any time of the day.

The final feature of this update is the ability to “pin to Start” for your favorite destinations. This gives users fast one-tap access to directions no matter where they are.

If you haven’t been notified of the update yet, Nokia cautions that there may a 1 – 2 day delay with the update’s deployment depending on your region. In the meantime, if you’d like to see some of these new features in action, check out the video embedded above.
