Sprint Bound Samsung SPH-L300 Passes Through the FCC

Sprint’s LTE has been live for less than a week, but it’s obvious that the carrier is working on brining new smartphones that will take advantage of its speedier network. Samsung’s SPH-L300 has passed through the halls of the FCC.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen this device, which will allegedly ship with a WVGA (800 x 480), a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, a 5-megapixel camera, 4GB of internal memory and Android 4.0. Since the SPH-L300 lists a modest 4GB of internal storage, we’d expect a price point similar to the LG Viper.

While a green light from the FCC doesn’t warrant an immediate retail release, it is a critical step in getting a device to consumers. As Sprint moves forward with its LTE deployment, hopefully we’ll soon see the SPH-L300 makes its formal debut.
