Nexus 7s Reportedly Suffering From Lifted Displays and Dead Pixels

by Mark Hearn | July 18, 2012July 18, 2012 2:00 pm PST

While we thoroughly enjoy the Nexus 7, no consumer electronic is without its flaws. Prior to its quasi-official release, word began to spread that a ghosting issue was troubling some Nexus 7 owners. Unfortunately, Google’s tablet seems to be experiencing additional screen related troubles, as users are reporting issues with dead pixels and lifting displays.

If you’re experiencing any of these issues, we highly recommend returning your device to wherever you purchased it for an exchange. If you purchased your tablet from a third-party retailer, there’s a slight chance that you may experience a delay due to the device’s high demand. Google offers its own online return and support options for customers who purchased their tablet directly from the company, however.

Hopefully these reported issues aren’t widespread, but we’ll continue to follow this situation and update you accordingly.
